Certech contributes to research and innovation activities addressing environment-friendly technologies and allowing to support a sustainable economic development. These activities integrate the following topics:
- Conversion of the non-recyclable plastics in shredded car residues into fuels or high added-value molecules, via pyrolysis reactions (chemical recycling techniques).
- Fuel purification making them suitable for injection into specially modified cogeneration engines with a highest energy recovery (net electrical efficiency greater than 45 percent) and with environmental gain (low atmospheric emissions).
